What are the prizes?
The prizes are as follows: 1st place receives $1000, 2nd place $750, 3rd place $500, 4th place $300, 5th place $200, 6th place $150, 7th place $100, 8th place $80, 9th place $70, and 10th place $50. These prizes are awarded to the top 10 highest-rated songs across all genres within the generic ranking and they will be delivered on a monthly basis via bank wire transfer.
Do I have to be an artist / band?
Absolutely not! The game is open to anyone with a great song to share, regardless of whether you’re an artist or just a music lover. We’re all about celebrating underground talent, so if you’ve got a track that people can’t get enough of, we want to hear it!
How do I submit a song?
Your song must be available on Apple Music with a song preview. It should not have been in the Top 20 of any music genre in the last 3 months. Also, the song should not have already been submitted by another user. If your song meets these conditions, it is eligible for submission.
Who will I compete against?
You’ll be competing against top music curators from around the world, as well as songs collected from over 150 sources, including streaming platforms, DJs, magazines, radio stations, blogs, record labels and music influencers.
How will I know how my song performed?
As soon as your song receives enough ratings, it will appear on the Ranking page under the genre you submitted it to. You’ll also get an in-app notification when this happens. At the end of the month, you’ll receive another notification with your song’s final rating and ranking position. Be sure to enable notifications to stay updated.
What is the rating process?
To ensure fair play, all songs will get equal exposure within their respective music genres, and the submission source of songs will remain anonymous until the end of the month.
How does the ranking system work?
The rankings are based on a combination of factors including user ratings and our secret sauce to keep the game engaging and fun. Unlike traditional streaming platforms, Playlo stands out by spotlighting emerging artists and by focusing on quality. This means the less known a song is, the greater its chances of winning. These criteria apply to everyone, so it’s all about the music!
Why are there brands and personalities on the Ranking page?
By joining the game, you’ll compete against songs submitted by fellow music lovers and those we’ve discovered from 150+ sources. If you see the Spotify logo on the Ranking page, it means we found that song on that platform and added it to the competition. While we showcase tracks from various sources, we don’t act on their behalf, we simply credit the sources that helped us discover great music.
When will you communicate the winners?
Winners are announced at the beginning of each month on our Blog. Inside the app, you’ll also find the Top 50 playlists featuring the highest-rated songs, along with the music sources that helped us discover them.

No, Playlo is a truly independent music discovery platform. We aren’t connected to or influenced by any media, streaming services, or companies. Our mission is to focus solely on discovering great music and offering a fair competition for all users.
